Meta Muse is no longer just a tool for users. The company is now taking its AI agent into the small business world. That move could give owners a simple way to manage work and reach customers.
Meta brings Muse into the business world
As reported by CNBC, Meta has launched Muse for Small Business as Meta pushes its AI products beyond consumer use. The new version can connect with tools such as Asana, Zoom, Intuit, Box, Canva and Salesforce’s Slack. It can also link with Meta ad accounts and professional Facebook and Instagram profiles. The idea is simple, a small business owner can give Muse a goal and let it help with the work behind it.
The agent can study business data and see what customers often ask about. It can then help with tasks linked to sales, marketing and daily work. The new service is part of Mark Zuckerberg’s wider AI plan. Meta wants Muse to do more than answer questions. The company wants the agent to help owners handle many jobs alone. For a small company, saving time can matter as much as saving money.
More Meta tools, but users stay in control
Muse can connect with Shopify, QuickBooks, Stripe and Canva, along with many other work apps. These links can give the agent access to a company’s store, financial records, customer details and brand information. Other supported tools include Dropbox, Figma, Klaviyo, Notion and Zoom. The agent can also work with Instagram business data, Facebook Pages and Meta’s advertising accounts.
Meta has also placed limits on what Muse can do by itself. The company says it will not publish content, send messages or make purchases without the user’s approval. This gives business owners a chance to check important actions before they happen. The service is free for most uses, with paid plans for people who need more. That model may help Meta bring the tool to more small firms while also building a new way to earn money from its AI products.

Zuckerberg aims for a bigger AI push
The launch comes one day after Meta announced its Meta Enterprise Platform. The company has hired Chirantan “CJ” Desai, the former MongoDB CEO, to lead the new unit and report directly to Zuckerberg. The wider plan includes Muse, Meta Business Agent, Muse API and Muse Code. Meta wants these tools to reach businesses and developers, not just consumers.
The timing shows where the company is heading. Muse started as a personal AI agent that could help with tasks such as travel, shopping and email. Now, it is being pushed into business work too. For small business owners, the appeal is clear. One agent that can work across ads, shops, accounts and office tools could cut down on busy work. The real test will be how useful Muse becomes in daily business.
Author’s Opinion
Muse could be useful for small firms that do not have large teams. The key will be trust and ease of use. Giving an AI agent access to business data is a big step, so owners will likely want control at every stage.
